Avio is a leader in space propulsion, employing over 1,300 people across Italy, France, and French Guiana. Founded in 1912, the company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and integrating space launch systems and tactical missiles. Avio serves as the prime contractor for Vega and Vega C launch vehicles under European Space Agency programs and is involved in the development of the next-generation Vega Evolution launcher.
