About Belle Isle Conservancy

Belle Isle Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, restoring, and enhancing the natural environment, historic structures, and unique character of Belle Isle Park in Detroit. Formed by merging four groups committed to the park, it works in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the City of Detroit to sustain and support the 982-acre island park for public enjoyment now and forever.
