Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing chronic absenteeism and supporting students in staying in school through integrated student supports. Their mission is to connect students with essential resources and caring adults, such as site coordinators, to help them overcome real-life challenges, show up to school prepared, and achieve long-term success. CIS aims to reach over 2 million students across the U.S. with tools and support for academic and personal growth.
