About Community Housing Capital

Community Housing Capital (CHC) is a National Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to providing flexible loan capital to create affordable housing. Since 2000, CHC has originated 631 loans totaling $1.05 billion and has facilitated $2.95 billion in affordable housing development, primarily serving families earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Products & Services

Predevelopment and MF & SF Acquisition:Covers predevelopment costs such as third-party studies or competes with all-cash offers.

Single Family and Multifamily Acquisition:Acquires vacant land and under-performing or operating properties.

Single Family and Multifamily Rehabilitation/Construction:Supports rehabilitation and/or construction of single-family and multi-family properties.

Multifamily Financing:Offers remarkable rates, terms, and speed with a single execution.

Bridge Financing:Fills financing gaps caused by timing issues related to public subsidies or other committed funds.

Multifamily Permanent Loans:Provides long-term, fixed-rate mortgages with 10-30 year repayment terms and amortization up to 35 years.

Forward Commitment:Offers up to 24 months to assure equity providers that take-out financing is in place.

FHLBank AHP Subsidies:CHC-sponsored awards up to $500,000 for acquisition, construction, and rehabilitation of rental and ownership housing.

Lines of Credit:Provides flexible credit solutions for housing projects.

Green Incentives:Offers incentives for sustainable and environmentally friendly housing projects.
