Friends of the Detroit River is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, defending, and improving the Detroit River through community-based stewardship and restoration. Their mission is to ensure clean water for people, fish, and wildlife, while fostering a community that actively protects the river and its surrounding lands for current and future generations. They envision a highly visible resource center focused on Detroit River issues, programs, research, policies, and partnerships.
