The Foundation for Hearing and Speech Resources (FHSR) is dedicated to creating and funding programs that help children and young adults with hearing loss participate fully in all aspects of life. Their vision is to ensure these individuals develop to their full potential and enjoy equal social, educational, and economic opportunities. Their mission supports innovative educational programs, clinical services, and social services to enable full societal participation.

Products & Services

Educational Programming:Includes literacy programs, education coordinator support, and resources tailored to different age groups and stages for deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students.

Music Programming:Offers early childhood music enrichment, individual and group instrument classes, school-based music programs, and music therapy for children with hearing loss.

Clinical & Community Outreach:Provides a loaner hearing aid program, free family events, policy advocacy, and partnerships such as with Lurie Children's Hospital to support DHH individuals.

1-3-6 Awareness Campaign:Raises awareness about early hearing screening and intervention to ensure timely support for children with hearing loss.
