About Hope the Mission

Hope the Mission, formerly Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preventing, reducing, and eliminating poverty, hunger, and homelessness. They provide immediate assistance and long-term solutions with a deep respect for human dignity.

Products & Services

Shelters:Operate various shelters including Van Nuys Shelter, Noho Shelter, Trebek Center, Inside Safe, Family Shelters, and Transitional Aged Youth Shelter to provide housing for the homeless.

Tiny Homes Villages:Develop and manage Tiny Homes Villages as interim housing solutions for the homeless, including new sites like Thrive Grove in Ventura.

Thrift Stores:Run thrift stores to collect and distribute gently used clothing and other goods to those in need.

Navigation and Job Centers:Offer resources and support for job placement and navigation services to assist individuals in transitioning out of homelessness.

Programs in Multiple Regions:Provide services in areas like Kern County, San Diego, Ventura County, and San Bernardino to address local needs related to homelessness.

Men's Re-Entry Program:Support men transitioning back into society through structured programs and resources.

Meals and Basic Needs:Provide hot meals, showers, and medical/mental health referrals, serving hundreds of thousands annually.
