The Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (KIAC) is dedicated to promoting arts, culture, and music in Dawson City, Yukon, at Dënäkär Zho. KIAC serves as a vital community hub, fostering creativity and personal expression through various programs, events, and educational opportunities while connecting Dawson City to the broader world of arts.

Products & Services

Events:Includes drive-in film screenings, concerts, craft fairs, and more, catering to a wide audience.

Exhibitions:Year-round exhibitions at the ODD Gallery featuring regional, national, and international visual artists.

Courses & Workshops:Educational programs including dance classes, summer camps, technical workshops, and professional development for artists.

Artist-in-Residence Program:A program since 2001, in partnership with Parks Canada, welcoming artists of all mediums to Dawson City.

Festivals:Hosts three major festivals: Dawson City International Short Film Festival (April), Yukon Riverside Arts Festival (June), and Annual Print & Publishing Festival (August).

Grants:Administers the Reprise Music Scholarship Fund to support music education.

Equipment Rentals:Offers A/V equipment, button makers, analog film supplies, and more for rent.

Facility Rental:Provides spaces for community groups and individuals to host events or activities.

Artist Market:Operates a weekly market from May to September next to the Farmer's Market for artists to showcase and sell their work.

Camera Obscura:A public art installation available in summer, demonstrating the magic of light and lenses.
