Tabor Academy is an independent boarding and day school located in Marion, Massachusetts, known as the 'School by the Sea.' The academy emphasizes a transformative educational experience with a strong sense of community, aiming to ignite passion for excellence, fuel drive for success, and instill a sense of purpose through a unique waterfront learning environment. Tabor provides hands-on, real-world learning opportunities, fostering personal and academic growth.

Products & Services

Nautical Science Program:Electives that allow students to apply knowledge and leadership skills in real-life or simulated maritime situations, building confidence and practical skills.

Marine Science Program:Curriculum focused on the study and care of the ocean, supported by the Marine and Nautical Science (MANS) Center, with courses like Biology of the Oceans.

Sailing Program:A competitive two-season sport with a team of about fifty sailors, practicing on Sippican Harbor, and competing in regional and national championships.

Academic Courses:Offers 172 courses, including over 40 advanced and honors level courses, designed to challenge students academically.

Athletic Programs:Includes 19 competitive teams across three seasons, competing in ISL and NESSA leagues.

Arts and Drama:Features an average of 6 yearly drama productions and various art programs, including ceramics with 14 electric potter’s wheels.

School by the Sea Experience:Unique waterfront educational programs utilizing the SSV Tabor Boy schooner as a floating research lab and other maritime resources.
