About High Level Community Policing Society

The Bison Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, located in High Level, Alberta, opened in 2021 as the ninth Child Advocacy Centre in the province. It serves children and youth under 18 who have experienced sexual, physical, or psychological abuse, exploitation, neglect, or have witnessed trauma or violence. The Centre provides a safe, supportive environment for children to report abuse, aiming to minimize stress and trauma while offering guidance through the criminal justice system.

Forensic Interviews:Structured interviews to elicit detailed information about experiences or witnessed events, with referrals only from RCMP or Child & Family Services.

Family Support Advocate:Assistance for non-offending parents and caregivers.

Remote Testimony:A safe, secure location at the High Level Centre for clients to provide remote testimony.
